Pathways

At Nhill College, we are dedicated to equipping students with the knowledge and skills they need to navigate their future careers.  Our Careers and Pathways program offers comprehensive guidance, beginning with exploration in Year 7 and 8 Careers classes, completing the Morrisby Profile in Year 9, and attending the Senior Pathways Information Night for Year 10 and 11 students.  Students also have the chance to attend the Wimmera Careers Expo at Longerenong College and participate in various immersion opportunities with local employers.

From Year 10 onwards, students can complete a VETiS course, with opportunities for school-based apprenticeships and traineeships available in Years 11 and 12.  Students also have the opportunity to attend two weeks of Work Experience and structured workplace learning.  Each student meets individually with dedicated Pathways staff at least once a year to assist with subject selections, university applications, and employment guidance.

Parents and students are encouraged to contact the school for a copy of the VCE/VM Booklet and/or the Year 9-10 Electives booklet to obtain more information regarding the broad range of subjects available in senior year programs.
